B.Ed. Syllabus
 
A There are 6 (Six) compulsory papers:
 

Compulsory Papers – Paper I to IV

  Education in Emerging Indian Society.
  Development of Learner and Learning Process.
  Education System in India & School Organization.
  Essentials of Educational Technology & Class-Room Management.
   
B Content-cum Methodology of Teaching (Teaching Subjects)-
 

Paper V & VI

  (Opt for any two subjects form the following two groups. The two teaching subjects should be of one group).
   
 
Group I: 1. Teaching of English 2. Teaching of Hindi
  3. Teaching of Sanskrit 4. Teaching of Social Studies
  5. Teaching of History  
     
Group II: 1. Teaching of Physics 2. Teaching of Mathematics
  3. Teaching of General Science 4. Teaching of Biology

Note:-

 
1. The number of students opting for any method should be 10 (ten). If the number of students is less than 10 (ten) for any teaching subject (method) then that paper will not be taught.
2. Only those students can opt for “Teaching of Social Studies” who had any two of the following subjects in their graduation level –
 
 History  Geography
 Political Science  Economics
 Public Administration  Psychology
 Philosophy  
3. No changes would be made in the teaching subjects.
   
C Special Paper – Paper VII : Choose any one from the following options:
 
 Moral Education  Environment Education
 Primary Education  Population Education
 Educational & Vocational Guidance   Educational Technology

Note :-

 
1. Besides opting for any one of the above given choices, the student should take S.U.P.W. (Socially useful productive work) on the basis of Language or Art or Craft.
D Qualifying Paper – Paper VIII
  Computer Literacy and its Educational Applications.
 

This paper is divided into 2 (two) parts-

1. Theory : 60 Marks
2. Sessional Work / Practicals : 40 Marks
  (Sessional work is sub-divided in 3 (three) parts)
 
 Practical test : 20 Marks
Report writing : 10 Marks
 Viva – Voce : 10 Marks
Note :-  
  It is Compulsory for the students to pass in the theory as well as sessional practical papers.
